Supplies & Planner Lingo

Here's a list of supplies for the class. I've also included a glossary of planner lingo since there's some terminology you may not be familiar with unless you're planner obsessed!

WHAT YOU NEED

  • A planner with both monthly and weekly layouts. My preference is for the weekly layout to be in a vertical format instead of horizontal but either works.
  • Pens, markers
  • Some combination of stickers, magazine images, scrapbook papers, washi tape, and photos to decorate your pages
  • Adhesive
  • Tarot or oracle deck
  • A journal or notebook to expound on the messages you're receiving

PLANNER LINGO

Binding. There are several binding options for planners. Check out this article for the pros and cons of each one: How To Choose The Right Planner For You.

  • Bound refers to book bound planners.
  • Coil or spiral is a binding system using a coil like a traditional spiral bound notebook.
  • Disc is a binding system using a hard plastic or metal ring that punched papers fit into. The disc system has a special hole punch that can be used.
  • Ring is a binding system using 3-6 rings to hold paper together, just like in a traditional binder.
  • String refers to binding systems like the Traveler's Notebook which uses elastic string to attach notebook inserts.

Bujo refers to bullet journaling. Bullet journaling is a method of journaling and notetaking that uses bullet points as its core structure.

Dashboard is a decorative page, usually with a tab, used to separate pages as well as hold sticky notes.

Frankenplanning means joining together pieces of multiple planners to create one planner.

Traveler's Notebook is a book-like cover that holds multiple notebooks and inserts held together with an elastic band.
